CHAMPIONS TOGETHER PROJECT:
Recommendations On Reaching the Youth Audience through Social Media
Prepared for Director Lee Lonzo of Champions Together
I am a freshman majoring in Social Work. Once I finish my BSW, I plan on going on to get my Masters in Social Work. Once I finish college, I plan on working at a school as a social worker. Eventually, I want to go into private practice and be a therapist specializing in teen mental health and eating disorders.
Throughout the duration of this project I helped organize the team and make sure everything finished in a timely manor. I also wrote the recommendation section of the report as well as the Instagram portion of the analysis.
Emily Blough
Viridiana Carrillo
I am a junior majoring in Neuroscience with a minor in Forensic & Investigative Sciences. After college I plan on serving in the United States Air Force for about six years. With my bahcelor's degree, I will be starting as an Officer. After I serve my country, I plan on applying to the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
My input to this project was mainly putting together the website. I also contributed to the ICE ICE paragraphs, the introduction and the Review of Literature.
Christian Combs
I am a senior majoring in Nursing. After I get my bachelor's degree, I plan on completing the Accelerated Nursing Program at IUPUI, and then getting a master's degree to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.
For this recommendation report, I researched teen Instagram usage, as well as how Instagram is useful to sports organizations. I also edited documents, wrote the closing statements, and contributed to the Review of Literature and Executive Summary.
Savannah Morris
I am a sophomore majoring in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. After graduating, I plan on moving to Madrid, Spain and teaching English to children. Later down the road, after teaching and traveling, I plan on attending graduate school and getting my master's degree in Social Work.
For this recommendation report, I researched teen Twitter usage and the inner workings of advertising and promoting on Twitter. I wrote the executive summary and part of the introduction. I also contributed to sections of the analysis and Review of Literature.
Hafsa Naeem
I am a sophomore majoring in Mathematics with a minor in Economics. I'm also an international student from Pakistan and after graduating, I plan to go back to my home country and serve as a government official. I want to do either policy making or economic analysis for my government. I would also love to establish an NGO to help alleviate poverty in Pakistan.
For this recommendation report, I wrote the methodology, made the survey and collected the results. I also contributed to sections of the Review of Literature.
Macie Weiler
I am a freshman majoring in Respiratory Therapy. After graduation, I plan to attend IU to get my Masters degree. I plan to work with Pre-Mature babies. After receiving both of my diplomas, I plan to work in an Indianapolis hospital along with living close to the Indianapolis area.
For this report, I summarized the survey data we collected from the participating high schools and created pie charts.
